Food and Blood Drive
March is Pay-it-Forward month!
March is Pay-it-Forward month at K-Jon’s Fine Jewelers. The local jewelry store in Atascadero is posting a blood drive and a food drive, all in the same month!
The portable donation bus will be in the parking lot of K-Jon’s Fine Jewelers on March 18th, ready for customers and employees to give blood. According to United Blood Services, “With the onset of bad weather, coupled with the cold and flu season, United Blood Services needs donors to step forward to donate. All blood types are needed, but especially type O-Negative.”1 K-Jon’s is teaming up with United Blood Services Central Coast to help in this area of need.
K-Jon’s Fine Jewelers will also be hosting a food drive. From March 1 to March 14, anyone who brings in a non-perishable food item to donate will receive 10% off an item*. The food will be then donated to Atascadero Loaves and Fishes, to be distributed to people who need it most in our community.
Pamela Maxvill of K-Jon’s Fine Jewelers says “This is just one more way we can give back to our community. We want to pay it forward to those around us.”
