We actually don’t pierce through the hard parts of the ear–only in the lobe.

I was thinking about getting my ears pierced. Could you explain how you do it, please?
We use a piercing “gun.” It’s a very safe process, and the ear piercer has had quite a lot of experience piercing ears. It’s done in a separate room, so you have privacy during the process. The “gun” is not loud at all, and all it does is push the piercing earring through the ear. It doesn’t “shoot” it through or anything. Does that answer your question?
